DUI Victim Panels
Taxonomy Code: RX-1750.1800
Programs that organize community meetings in which volunteers who have been victims, offenders or witnesses describe the experiences they or loved ones have endured as a result of the actions of alcohol/drug impaired drivers. The objective of the panels is to encourage people to make responsible choices. Individuals who have been convicted of driving under the influence, as well as other alcohol related offenses, may be mandated by the court system to attend one of these meetings as a condition of their sentencing.
